Jack R. Enderson, 86, owner and founder of Burien Honda, the Northwest’s first Honda dealership, passed away recently, and the dealership has been sold, according to a notice posted by Performance Brokerage Services.
Enderson founded Burien Honda in 1963, and enjoyed golfing, fishing, and coming into the “shop.” He passed away in Seattle on Sept. 20, 2012.
“He loved Burien Honda’s annual Christmas party, and encouraged guest to bring canned food, and new toys for donation,” according to his obituary.
“With no succession plan in place upon his death, immediate action was necessary to ensure that the dealership could continue with minimal disruption,” reads a note in the brokerage website. “Coupled with the departure of the dealership’s General Manager of more than 25 years, the Endersons’ attorney engaged Performance Brokerage Services.”
The dealership’s new owner is Greg Rairdon.
Aside from the dealership itself, Rairdon also secured adjacent land in order to develop an extension to the current facilities and to further comply with Honda’s new image standards.
