Authorities are investigating after emergency responders were dispatched to a report of an “obvious death” near an intersection in Burien on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025.

King County Fire District No. 2 received the call at 3 p.m. and responded to the area of SW 160th Street and 4th Ave SW near Lakeview Park (map below), according to dispatch records. Units A328 and CAR328 were sent to the scene.

It is not yet known whether foul play was involved or if the death was the result of natural causes or other circumstances.

“Detectives are in the preliminary stages of this death investigation,” Brandyn Hull, Communications Manager for the King County Sheriff’s Office told The B-Town Blog.

UPDATE FEB. 21, 2025: The King County Medical Examiner’s Office on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, released the identity of the victim.
