The Burien City Council voted 5-2 at Monday night’s (Feb. 3) meeting to adopt proposed regulations for the production, processing and sale of recreational marijuana within the city limits.
Mayor Lucy Krakowiak, Deputy Mayor Bob Edgar, and Council members Lauren Berkowitz, Gerald Robison, and Nancy Tosta voted yes.
Steve Armstrong and Debi Wagner voted no.
Production, which will be limited to indoor operations, and processing can be located only in areas zoned Industrial and Airport Industrial. Retail sales must be located in areas zoned for commercial activity. All such businesses must conform to other restrictions to keep them away from areas frequented by young people.]]>

What they aren’t telling you is that there is virtually no space zoned airport industrial or industrial with commercial property available. Most of it is actually residential, or unavailable for development.
