The City of Burien is inviting residents to a community conversation on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at the Boulevard Park Library (map below), where City Manager Adolfo Bailon and members of the city’s Economic Development Division will discuss improving access to healthy food in the Boulevard Park neighborhood.

The free and open event is part of the city’s ongoing Coffee Chat series, offering an informal opportunity for residents to engage with city leadership and share their perspectives on local issues.

“We would love to hear your input and ideas,” organizers said in the event announcement.

The session will be held in both English and Spanish to ensure accessibility for all members of the community.

City staff are expected to present current efforts and gather feedback on potential strategies for expanding healthy food options in the area, which has long faced limited access to grocery stores and fresh produce.
