Burien Elks Lodge No. 2143 will host an Open House and Membership Drive this Saturday, Oct. 17, from Noon to 4 p.m., inviting the public to learn about its community programs and meet lodge and state committee members.
The event will introduce visitors to the Elks’ youth and adult scholarship programs, veterans services and assistance, children’s activities and other community support efforts.
“Making a difference in your community since 1959,” the lodge said in its invitation.
Visitors also can learn about the Hoop Shoot program for children, drug awareness programs and social activities.
Light refreshments and nonalcoholic beverages will be served.
The lodge said everyone is welcome.
