Burien Elks Lodge 2143 will be hosting several July community events, including a deck opening party this Saturday, July 18, and a picnic at Camp Shoenwalk on Aug. 9.
The deck opening party is scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. this Saturday, July 18, and will feature hot dogs, hamburgers and street tacos grilled on the deck.
The lodge also promotes Wednesday night “Loudmouth Bingo,” which starts at 6 p.m. every Wednesday.
The most recent monthly “Dinner for a Cause” event was held Thursday, July 16, and benefited Para Los Niños de Highline, a group described to supporting Latino children’s education, early childhood development, culture and language, and English as a second language.
Picnic at Camp Schoenwald Aug. 9
Local Elks are also promoting a community picnic at Camp Schoenwald in Burien on Sunday, Aug. 9, from 12–4 p.m. “Good food, good friends, and great times.”
The Elks also offer up roasted prime rib every Friday at the Lodge. Reservations are requested by Noon Friday so the chef can prepare enough prime rib by calling 206-243-2143.
