Aguas Frescas Twins, a street food vendor located near 1st Ave South and SW 143rd Street in Burien, was ordered closed by Public Health — Seattle & King County on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 due to multiple imminent health hazards.

Health officials shut down the vendor at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday for operating without a valid permit and failing to provide basic sanitation and food safety measures.

Inspectors cited the vendor for not having handwashing facilities, no hot water, and inadequate refrigeration to keep perishable items at safe temperatures.

According to Public Health’s online closure list, such violations pose a serious risk of foodborne illness to customers.

No illness complaints have been linked to the business as of Thursday.
