The City of Burien is inviting residents to learn more about proposed zoning changes for the North of NERA Neighborhood Business area during two virtual code amendment walkthroughs before the Planning Commission’s public hearing on July 8.

City planning staff will host the online meetings at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1 and Tuesday, July 7 via Zoom.

According to the city, the sessions will guide participants through the proposed code amendments section by section, explain the intent behind the draft regulations, highlight changes made during the planning process and answer questions from attendees.

The meetings are intended to help residents better understand the proposal before the Burien Planning Commission’s public hearing on Wednesday, July 8.

According to the city, the walkthroughs are open to both residents who have followed the North of NERA Neighborhood Business project from the beginning and those who are just becoming familiar with the proposal.

Additional information about the proposed zoning changes and the virtual meetings is available here.
