The City of Burien recently surveyed local businesses about the impacts COVID-19 is having on them, and one of the top four concerns identified was tax payments.

“There have been some recent changes in deadlines for local and federal taxes aimed at helping businesses during these challenging times,” the city said.

The city announced that it will be offering a 90-day deferment of B&O taxes for businesses impacted by COVID-19.

Also, federal income tax filing and payment deadlines are being automatically extended until July 15, 2020.
