Burien Police/King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) confirmed that a deceased person was discovered and subsequently recovered from Puget Sound at approximately 7:35 p.m. on Friday night, May 31, 2024.
The body was observed and reported near Eagle Landing Park in the Seahurst neighborhood by a nearby resident in the 14900 block of 28th Ave SW in Burien (map below).
KCSO deputies (Burien PD), local fire personnel, and investigators from the King County Medical Examiner’s Office (KCMEO) responded for the recovery and investigation.
The KCMEO will release the individual’s gender, identity and age, along with cause and manner of death per their protocols (we’ll do an update when that info is released).
Police had no additional information to release at this time.
