Last Friday night, May 31, 2024, Burien Police/King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) recovered the body of a drowned woman from Puget Sound at approximately 7:35 p.m.
On Monday, June 3, 2024, the King County Medical Examiners Office identified the victim as Emilie Katherine Bright, 40, of Tacoma.
As we previously reported, the victim’s body was observed and reported in the shallow waters just south of Eagle Landing Park Eagle in the Seahurst neighborhood by a nearby resident. KCSO deputies (Burien PD), local fire personnel, and investigators from the King County Medical Examiner’s Office (KCMEO) responded for the recovery and investigation.
According to a social media post, Emilie went missing on May 30, 2024, and was last seen at War Memorial Park in Tacoma.
