Fire crews responded to a commercial vehicle fire on southbound I-5 just south of South 188th Street in SeaTac on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 18, 2025, according to Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority (RFA) dispatch records.

The incident, which was reported at 4:13 p.m., prompted multiple units to respond, including Engine 345, Engine 347, Ladder 346, and Battalion 345.

The three right lanes of southbound I-5 were closed, causing major traffic issues.

Authorities have not yet released details on the extent of the fire, possible injuries, or traffic impacts.

Drivers in the area may experience delays as first responders work to contain the situation.
