The Normandy Park Grocery Outlet will welcome animals looking for homes and collect new pet beds for CARES Animal Shelter from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 10.
According to the store, shelter representatives will bring adoptable pets, giving shoppers a chance to meet the animals and learn more about those seeking homes.
The store is also hosting a pet bed drive to help provide comfortable bedding for animals awaiting adoption. The shelter cannot accept used bedding, so donations must be new, Grocery Outlet said.
“It’s an easy way to help a shelter animal stay warm and comfortable while they wait for their forever family,” organizers said.
Shoppers can purchase a new pet bed at the store and donate it to the shelter.
Community members are invited to stop by, meet the animals and participate in the donation drive.
