Come experience the exciting spirit of Louisiana in Historic Downtown Kent at the annual Cajun & Creole Fest, from 1–7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15.
Downtown will magically transform into a lively bayou celebration filled with music, flavor, and family-friendly fun.
This FREE, annual event – put on by the Kent Downtown Partnership – will feature live Zydeco music, delicious Southern-inspired food, local vendors and artists, and a beer garden and kids’ corner with some fun activities.
From the infectious rhythms to the rich flavors, this festival brings the vibrant culture of Cajun and Creole traditions to the heart of downtown.
The Ragin’ Cajun Line Up
This year’s entertainment lineup is one of the best yet! Traveling all the way from Sunset, Louisiana, Grammy Award-winning Curley Taylor and Zydeco Trouble will headline the festival with their infectious blend of Zydeco music that’s guaranteed to get the crowd dancing.
Gator Boy Productions will kick things off with free dance lessons at 1 p.m., so you can get into the groove, learn a few Zydeco dance moves, and hit the dance grass with confidence!
Organizers are also excited to welcome back crowd favorite Zydeco Lowdown, bringing their signature high-energy performance to the main stage.
Don’t miss one of the festival’s most beloved traditions—the Second Line Parade! Led by the always-spirited America First Corps Band and joined by the crowd-favorite Elegance Drill Team, whose performance stole hearts last year, this lively parade will have everyone dancing through the streets of downtown. Bring you costumes!! RSVP below for your free tickets.
