The celebration will begin at 5 p.m., featuring traditional games, “La Lotería” (a Mexican bingo-style game), and cultural presentations in both English and Spanish.

Attendees can also participate in craft workshops and enjoy live music and dance performances that reflect the spirit of the holiday season.

As night falls, the festivities continue with a “La Posada” procession from 6 to 8 p.m., complete with piñatas, Mexican sweet bread (pan dulce), hot chocolate, and tamales. “La Posada” is a traditional Mexican holiday re-enactment symbolizing the journey of Mary and Joseph. The museum’s event seeks to honor and share this cultural heritage with the local community.

“We’re thrilled to bring the community together for ‘La Posada’ and celebrate a tradition that means so much to so many,” the Highline Heritage Museum said. “It’s a chance for everyone to experience the warmth and joy of this Mexican holiday tradition.”

The museum encourages people of all ages and backgrounds to join the celebration, which is designed to foster cultural understanding and community connection.
