The King County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after a body was found Friday afternoon, Nov. 8, 2024 along a trail in Eagle Landing Park in Burien.
Deputies responded to a report of a deceased person (“Obvious Death”) at approximately 12:40 p.m., and quickly secured the area with crime scene tape to allow first responders to work safely.
Authorities have not released further details regarding the identity or cause of death, and they have directed inquiries to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
A neighbor told The B-Town Blog that the victim appeared to be a young woman.
Officials stated that there is no indication of any public safety threat related to the incident.
“This is a death investigation,” a spokesperson for the King County Sheriff’s Office said.
