Hello! We’re Seattle Gymnastics Academy (SGA), a proud 100% Employee-Owned company serving the Seattle area for more than 40 years and, growing from one location to five: Burien (at the Five Corners Shopping Center), Columbia City, Ballard, Lake City and Mill Creek.

Most people assume you need a gymnastics background to work at Seattle Gymnastics Academy (fair enough, it’s in the name). But the truth is many of our most successful, longest-tenured employee-owners started with little or no gymnastics experience at all. We are well-prepared and happy to train the gymnastics fundamentals, to people who are excited about working with kids, interested in gymnastics (even if a novice), or have transferable skills – such as coaching / teaching other sports or subjects.

While gymnastics is what we teach, our goal is not to create the next Olympic Champion. Our mission is to provide the multitude of benefits gymnastics activity to everyone: the physical benefits (strength, flexibility, coordination, motor skill development, to name a few), and we’re especially passionate about creating positive experiences that help kids (and adults!) develop self-belief, perseverance, and the confidence to try something new – skills that transfer to all facets of life.

We provide paid training, ongoing support, and clear development pathways for employees of all experience levels. Former retail workers, hospitality professionals, college students, caregivers / parents needing set schedules, and people looking to step away from traditional desk jobs have all found rewarding careers at SGA.

We’re Hiring in Burien!

Recreational Coaches

Teach gymnastics classes in programs ranging from preschool to adult recreational gymnastics, to trampoline & tumbling and more. We work with you to find the age groups and programs that best match your interests and strengths, and provide all the training you need. Our coaching ethos is centered around progression, breaking skills into small, achievable steps that build on each other, and we apply this same technique to staff training.

Member Services Coordinators

Our Member Services team are the administrative backbone of SGA, helping educate families about programs, answer questions and resolve issues, and build lasting relationships with our community. If you enjoy customer service and relationship-building, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Why Work at SGA?

  • Consistent schedules and a commitment to work-life balance
  • Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits
  • Health insurance, HSA, 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), PTO, Paid Family Leave, and more

  • Opportunities for growth within a 100% employee-owned company, a rarity in today’s job market. We have no big-boss owner, and no private equity investment. We’re a collection of passionate employee-owners with a real stake in our success and the rewards it provides.

If you enjoy working with kids, being a positive role model, and have a strong sense for dependability and consistency, we’d love to meet you. You might discover the career you’re craving but never would have considered.
