Detectives and deputies from the King County Sheriff’s Office Special Emphasis Teams and Criminal Investigative Unit scored a major victory against drug trafficking this week, seizing more than $1.3 million worth of narcotics, weapons, and property.
Police said this was “a behemoth bust for our Special Emphasis Teams in SeaTac, Precinct 4 (based in Burien) and our Criminal Investigative Unit.”
The arrest occurred Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025 along I-5 near Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), where a suspected drug trafficker was taken into custody.
Police said that the individual is alleged to have distributed cocaine and ketamine throughout the region, from Seattle to Bremerton.
He was booked on charges of possession and intent to sell.
The items seized include:
- 24 pounds of cocaine
- 2 pounds of ketamine
- 1 pound of MDMA
- 50 pounds of processed marijuana
- 1,000 Ecstasy pills
- 9 firearms
- $6,000 in cash
- 1 2020 Subaru Outback
