The Saint Francis of Assisi Parish Life, Peace. and Justice committee members are hosting a movie and discussion this Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, at 11 a.m.  

Organizers will show the PBS documentary “Covenant of the Salmon People and then hold a discussion about the movie, effects of water and hydroelectric power on the salmon, and the impact on tribal communities. 

They will also host two Native Americans to help with perspective – Joan Staples Baum (Chippewa Tribe), and Connie McLeod (Puyallup Tribe).

Refreshments will be provided.   

This event will be held in the lower level of the older church building, called Parish Hall (map below).
