Students and their families can explore college, career and apprenticeship opportunities, connect with more than 60 organizations and get help with financial aid at Highline’s Future Ready Fest on Thursday, Oct. 22.

The free event runs from 5–8:00 p.m. at Tyee High School (map below).

Highline Public Schools students in grades 9 through 12 and their families are encouraged to attend. Younger students and their families are also welcome.

More than 60 colleges, training programs and community partners will be there to help students explore their interests and plan next steps.

“Students have many options after high school, but figuring out where to start can feel overwhelming,” said Sierra Farmer, career access specialist. “This is a chance to ask questions, meet people who can help and discover opportunities students may not have considered.”

Students and families can also:

  • Get one-on-one help with college applications, scholarships and financial aid in the College Application and Financial Aid Lab.
  • Attend the Senior Year Timeline Session from 6–6:45 p.m. to learn about graduation requirements, guaranteed admission programs, financial aid and key senior-year deadlines.

Interpretation services will be available in Spanish, Somali and Vietnamese. Families may request support in other languages.

Refreshment, prizes and activities for younger siblings will be available throughout the evening.

The event is free, and families may arrive at any time.

For more information or to request language support, contact Sierra Farmer at sierra.farmer@highlineschools.org.
