The Normandy Park Police Department is reporting that at around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday night (Nov. 22) in the 17800 block of 1st Ave South (map below), a pedestrian was struck – and killed – by a car.
Police say that the driver was headed southbound, and moved into the center turn lane, where he struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk or crossing at the intersection.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with Police.
Sadly, despite the efforts of emergency personnel, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene.
