The Seattle Aquarium’s Beach Naturalist program is returning this summer, offering visitors a chance to learn about the diverse marine life along local shorelines, including at Seahurst Park Beach in Burien.
Of note, one of the lowest tides of 2025 will be a -4.05 at 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28 – definitely worth a trip to our wonderful local Seahurst Park Beach!
The program, which places trained beach naturalists at popular low-tide locations, aims to educate the public on how to explore intertidal areas while protecting marine animals and their habitats.
Visitors can learn about sea stars, barnacles, moon snails, and other fascinating beach-dwelling creatures.
