Discover Burien wants YOU to let them know who/what your local favorites are by nominating them for a ‘Best of Burien’ Award.
All nominations will be combined and the finalists will be released for voting on Feb. 14, 2020.
Voting for the final round will stay open until Feb. 28, 2020, and winners will be awarded at the annual ‘Best of Burien Awards’ Dinner & Auction at the Community Center on Friday, March 6, 2020.
Here are the categories for Round 1:

- Educator of the Year: Let us know who your favorite educator is, public or private.
- Best Bloody Mary: Nominate your favorite restaurant or bar with the best Bloody Mary!
- Volunteer of the Year: Nominate an individual that volunteers in the community.
- Business Leader: Nominate the business leader who goes above and beyond in the community.
- Public Servant: Do you have a favorite City of Burien employee or police officer? Let us know who that is here.
- Jeff Kearney Award: This award acknowledges a differently abled worker in our community.
- Employer of the Year: Do you work for the best employer in town? Nominate them!
- Best Customer Service: Let us know where you get consistently the best customer service. You can nominate an individual or business.
- Best Restaurant: Favorite place to dine in Burien.
