Organizers at Burien’s Severe Weather Shelter are seeking more help from Volunteers, as well as donations.
The shelter, which is located at Highline United Methodist Church (map below) will now be open through Sunday night, Feb. 14.
“Today we really need some weather related volunteers and supplies, like snow shoveling and cocoa! Please check the sign up to see if there is anything you can do/provide.”
“Volunteers who are there now have pretty much been there overnight, so if you can make it there to cover a few hours that would be amazing! There’s too much snow to send folks out in so doors are staying open extra hours today.”
