Resident Elston Hill captured this great photo of an amazing rainbow seen over Puget Sound from his Burien home on Saturday morning, Nov. 26.
“It was so dark at 7:40 a.m. this morning that the last thing I expected at sunrise was a rainbow!” he said.

WOW! That’s an amazing rainbow! Good shot, Elston.
Thank you for reminding me of unexpected joy in the midst of darkness. This is real and it does happen.
Wow so beautiful!!!! It is very mysterious, too. I noticed at sunrise the sky looked red like in the rainbow. Amazing!
It looks very heavenly and miraculous as well!
The more I look at this image, the more calm I become. A true blessing. Thank you for venturing out in the cool of the early morning with your wonderful talent! And for sharing it with us.
Thanks, once again, for sharing your gift. Hopefully, it will also – someday, somehow – inspire the thumbs-down killjoy. May they find the light . . .
Yes my husband and I get up early we live near 5 corners and Trader Joe’s at 160th and 1 st. Anyway I was sitting on the sofa looking out the window when we saw this beautiful rainbow in the west towards the Sound. I believe it was the most beautiful rainbow I’ve ever seen in my life. And I’m 58 years old. That is saying a lot, since I’ve seen 100’s of rainbows. God is a awesome God! He gave us the rainbow as a promise.
Though I always look forward to seeing your new photos Mr. Hill, this ‘rainbow image’ is a bit of magic for me. Any chance it could be loaded on the opening page of the B-town blog as a permanent link to your other images, or website? It truly does me good to see it!
