Unless you were hiding under a very large and weather/soundproof rock…on Wednesday, Mar. 26, 2025 the entire region pretty much shuttered up in anticipation of huge thunderstorms, up to 2-inch hail, tornadoes and other potential calamities due to a large storm system that moved in.

The thunderstorms did strike, and were very intense in the Burien area, but that was pretty much it. Giant hail did not strike our precious cars, many of which were “protected” with large pieces of cardboard or blankets/tarps.

Gregory Rehmke sent us the following photos, taken from roughly the same spot on Burien’s Three Tree Point on that day, showing the same scene before and during the height of the storm:

“I was gathering some Vitamin D later in the afternoon,” Rehmke told The B-Town Blog, “and then an hour later…”
