Burien Police Department and King County Fire District #2 units are on the scene of a serious multi-vehicle collision near SW 143rd Street & Ambaum Blvd SW on Friday morning, May 24, 2024.

The 911 call came in at 9:03 a.m.

From photos, it appears that there were at least three vehicles involved, and one report from someone near the scene is that a driver ran a red light at high speed.

Ambaum Blvd. SW has been closed in the area for the investigation.

King County Major Accident Response and Reconstruction (MARR) Detectives have been dispatched to the scene to investigate.

As this event is still in progress, police did not share any more specifics. When we receive more information, we’ll update this post.
