REMINDER: Burien’s annual ‘Empty Bowls’ fundraiser for local food banks will be held this Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, with both a Lunch and Dinner session at the Burien Community Center.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., and dinner from 4 – 8 p.m.

Adult donations are $20, and children $10, and your donation will get you the opportunity to pick out a beautiful handmade bowl, as well as a simple but wonderful meal of soup, bread, dessert, and drink donated by local businesses.

Moshier Art Center potters have donated bowls to be filled with soup at this fun event, and all are invited.

Proceeds from this great annual event will benefit both the Highline Area Food Bank and White Center Food Bank.

Empty Bowls events can be found around the country raising money to combat hunger in our communities.
