SAVE THE DATE: The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony/party for the new Highline Heritage Museum will be from 4 – 6 p.m.  on Friday, June 14!
But this won’t be your usual ribbon cutting ceremony – ALL are invited to “come cut the ribbon with us! Literally, please bring scissors and let’s do it as a community!”
Kudos to new Executive Director Nancy Salguero-McKay, who has been working tirelessly to get this new museum ready!
The new museum is located at 819 SW 152nd Street in Olde Burien, on the southwest corner of SW 152nd Street and Ambaum Blvd. SW (map below).
The organization’s retiring Executive Director Cyndi Upthegrove was also recently named the City of Burien’s 2019 ‘Citizen of the Year’:

Here are some sneak peeks of what to expect at the brand new museum:

This event will also include (we hope) a public premiere of a documentary called “I Am Highline” featuring several residents of diverse backgrounds, Produced/Directed/Edited by South King Media’s Scott Schaefer.
