A juvenile was shot in the leg during an incident involving a group of teenagers Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 12 at North SeaTac Park, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
When police arrived, they found a 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to Harborview, and his current condition has not been released.
Officers, including a K-9 unit, remained at the park as the investigation continued, police said. A search of the area did not locate a weapon.
A portion of the park near the parking lot was cordoned off to support the investigation.
“No arrests at this point and no danger to the public,” Brandyn Hull, Communications Director for KCSO told The B-Town Blog.
North SeaTac Park remained open, and police said there was no ongoing threat to the public.
