Seattle City Light reported that around 4,000 customers lost power Friday afternoon, Mar. 13 in Burien, according to the utility’s online outage map.
As of around 1:30 p.m., power to most appears to have been restored.
The largest outage area stretched from Seahurst in the west through much of Burien and up north to Boulevard Park.
City Light said this outage began at 12:29 p.m., with the cause not confirmed, though one might guess that Friday’s surprise snow storm had something to do with it.
The outage map also showed numerous outages in nearby parts of south King County, including areas near Burien, SeaTac and Tukwila.

Crews are responding to an outage in Burien and Boulevard Park affecting 3,953 customers. The cause is under investigation, and an estimated time of restoration is yet to be determined. Follow along on our outage map at: https://t.co/d6KxjvLmr6 pic.twitter.com/SScFDWyY9A
