The off-ramp from southbound SR 509 to S 188th Street in Des Moines was closed for a collision on Monday night, Oct. 30, 2023, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced.
WSDOT said it is expected to be an extended closure with no estimated time for reopening.
Expect delays in the area and seek alternate routes if possible.
“On the SR 509 southbound off-ramp to Des Moines Memorial Dr (MP 24) there is a collision blocking the ramp,” WSDOT said. “The Incident Response Team, Tow Assistance, and the State Patrol have arrived on the scene.”
