Volunteers are needed to join the Port of Seattle, its partners, and fellow community members to plant native trees and shrubs to restore local urban forests from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 1, 2025.

Participants will plant 300 trees and shrubs to an existing community stewardship site originally restored in 2018.

The trees planted will increase tree canopy while shrubs will create a structurally diverse understory.

The Port will provide snacks, hot drinks, gloves, and tools. Clothes and shoes appropriate for working outdoors are recommended.

This event is family-friendly, and no experience is necessary.
