From our friends at WABI Burien:

EJ Nist Family Park

Ready to get some exercise climbing hills in beautiful Normandy Park? Come join the WABI Weekday Walkers on a new loop through Normandy Park on Wednesday, Mar. 19, 2025, starting at 10 a.m.

We promise it will be worth the effort!

We’ll meet by the playground at City Hall Park (along 174th Ave), then walk through the park and up city streets to EJ Nist Family Park. (Uphill first, then down!)

The land for this park was donated by EJ Nist on the condition that it be developed as a park. As you’ll see, it’s a beautiful property! Within EJ Nist Park we’ll follow a wooded trail around the perimeter, then follow streets back to our starting point.

The walk will be 1.75 miles over paved streets, sidewalks, and dirt trails. Consider that the ground may be muddy if it’s been raining (a safe bet this week). Estimated time is 60 minutes.

Date: Wednesday, Mar. 19, 2025 (Rain or shine)
Time: Meet a little before 10 a.m. so we can begin walking at 10:00
Place: Normandy Park City Hall, 801 SW 174th Street, Normandy Park, WA 98166
Who: Walkers (and dogs) who are up for some hills
Distance: About 1.75 miles, round trip
