The Wastemobile will be coming to Burien the weekend of Sept. 18-20, 2020, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The FREE event will take place in the parking lot of Fred Meyer, located at 14300 1st Ave S. (map below).

The Wastemobile travels to communities throughout King County to provide hazardous waste disposal for residents and eligible businesses.

There is no fee for hazardous waste disposal.

Additional information and restrictions
Limit 50 gallons per residential customer per day. No containers larger than 5 gallons.

Limit 25 gallons per business customer per quarter. No containers larger than 5 gallons. Eligible businesses must complete a disposal form prior to drop off.

For larger quantities or unusual wastes, call the Household Hazards Line at 206-296-4692 (Mon–Fri, 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m.).

Please note that marine flares are not accepted at the Wastemobile. Gas canisters are not returned to customers.

    • Aerosol cans, if full or partially full
    • Antifreeze
    • Automotive products, such as antifreeze, brake fluid, gasoline, or oil filters. Do not mix motor oil with other oil or automotive fluids.
    • Automobile batteries (limit 5 car batteries per customer)
    • Batteries (alkaline, rechargeable, etc.)
    • Butane tanks
    • Fire extinguishers
    • Flares, roadside
    • Fluorescent lights (limit 10 per customer)
    • Furniture stain
    • Gasoline (limit 30 gallons per residential customer, 25 gallons per business customer)
    • Glue, contact cement, rubber cement
    • Household cleaners
    • Hobby chemicals
    • Lawn and garden pesticides
    • Mercury-containing products, including thermometers and thermostats
    • Motor oil
    • Oil-based paint
    • Pesticides
    • Propane tanks
    • Spray paint
    • Swimming pool and spa supplies
    • Thinners and other solvents
