Auburn Police have arrested a 64-year-old Burien man on multiple felony sex crime charges involving a 14-year-old juvenile, the department announced Thursday, April 17, 2025.

The arrest occurred on April 15, following an 11-day investigation that began when detectives were alerted to the case on April 4.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident and is facing three felony charges:

  • Communicating with a Minor for Immoral Purposes (Felony)
  • Possession of Depictions of a Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct in the First Degree
  • Viewing Depictions of a Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct in the First Degree

Detectives say the case developed quickly and resulted in the suspect’s arrest based on evidence collected during the investigation.

“This was a prompt and thorough investigation,” the Auburn Police Department said in a statement. “No further details are being released at this time to protect the integrity of the case and the privacy of the victim.”
