Officers with the Precinct 4 Special Emphasis Team, which operates out of Burien, and a SWAT unit served a search warrant early Friday morning at a home on Vashon Island, resulting in two arrests following a multi-month narcotics investigation.

According to the Burien Police Department, the operation led to the arrest of a suspected narcotics trafficker accused of distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine to local residents.

The suspect was booked into jail on two counts of distribution of a controlled substance.

Police said a second suspect was also arrested and charged with investigation of unlawful use of a building for drug purposes for allegedly allowing drug activity to occur at the property.

The department said the multi-month investigation concluded peacefully, with both suspects taken into custody without reported injuries.

Authorities did not release the identities of the suspects or additional details about the investigation.
