The Burien Police Department/King County Sheriff’s Office Special Emphasis Team arrested two suspected drug traffickers in a narcotics investigation that culminated on March 19, 2025, authorities said.

“Naturally, Quinn was key,” police said, regarding the involvement of their top K9.

The operation, led by Precinct 4 deputies based in Burien, resulted in the seizure of:

  • 1.1 pounds of cocaine (street value: $50,000)
  • 1 handgun recovered
  • $1,000 drug proceeds seized

Both suspects were booked on charges of intent to distribute and conspiracy, with one also facing an additional charge for unlawful possession of a firearm.

Officials noted that one of the suspects had a prior arrest in 2022.

“Thanks also go out the Special Emphasis Team from Precinct 5, Burien and Precinct 2 deputies, a forensics detective and our dispatchers,” police said in a statement.

  1. Thank you special emphasis team, Burien Police and King county sheriff’s office!
There are now two less drug dealers off our streets.

  2. Many thanks for all so many of you have done to keep Burien safe…
I am a long ago resident of the area and will always be fond of the memories Burien, Seahurst, and our longtime home at Three Tree Point hold for me!
    Gratefully,
