The Burien City Council will be hosting a special council meeting on Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. on the topic of public safety.
The meeting will be hosted on Zoom.
Community members are invited to speak in small group roundtable discussions at the meeting.
Council is seeking input from the Burien community on their definition of public safety, gaps in public safety, community priorities in terms of budget, and identifying ways to improve public safety.
Council wants to hear from all Burien community members and people who have an interest in the well-being of the city of Burien. Information gathered during this process will be used to guide policy and budget decisions.
The meeting will be broadcast online at burienwa.gov/tv, via Zoom, or on Channel 21 (Comcast) or Channel 8027 (CenturyLink). The meeting will be recorded and published at burienwa.gov/PublicSafetyConversation. Spanish and Vietnamese interpretation will be provided.
