Several power outages hit Burien Monday afternoon, Sept. 7, 2020, knocking out electricity and precious WiFi for thousands.
Seattle City Light said that the biggest outage hit at 2:22 p.m. and knocked out power to around 5,300 customers.
Causes of outages have not all yet been determined, but it wouldn’t surprise us if most were caused by downed trees, since wind speeds hit at least 25MPH at Sea-Tac Airport, and most trees are still loaded with leaves.
Estimated restoration time for the largest remaining outage is 6 p.m.
