The Burien City Council will tackle a wide ranging agenda Monday, June 15, including a presentation on the Port of Seattle’s Sustainable Airport Master Plan, discussion of a possible data center moratorium and review of regional housing funding priorities.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Burien City Hall (map below), and can be viewed live on Comcast TV Channel 21, via Zoom here and via live-stream here.

One notable agenda item will focus on a possible data center moratorium. Community Development Director Liz Stead, Economic Development Manager Chris Craig and Interim City Attorney Ann Marie Soto are scheduled to present information and lead council discussion on the issue. No action is listed on the agenda.

The meeting is scheduled to conclude with a 20-minute executive session “to evaluate the qualifications of a candidate for appointment to elective office.” The agenda does not identify the position involved.
