Burien Elks #2143 will be holding a Hoop Shoot this Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, from 9 a.m. until Noon at Lafayette Elementary school in West Seattle (map below).
This is an annual free throw shooting contest that happens across the United States, where boys and girls from ages 8 to 13 compete in a free-throw contest.
The top three in each age/gender group will then go on to the district level, state level, then national level.
Many of these contestants have also won scholarships through the Elks national foundation.
