On Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024, Burien Police detectives intercepted a commercial vehicle confiscating a load of drugs and contraband worth $1.46 million in Burien.

“Without their efforts, this would have made it to the city last night and been on the streets today,” police said. “Great job detectives!”

Here’s what police confiscated:

  • 37.4 pounds Fentanyl powder
  • 3.02 pounds Methamphetamine
  • 1.38 pounds Heroin
  • $34,258 cash seized
  • 1 gun seized (serial number removed)

This operation resulted in two suspects being booked into King County Jail for Investigation of  Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act (VUCSA)-Possession with Intent to deliver and VUCSA Conspiracy.

Police said that the total street value of narcotics recovered from this operation was $1.46 million.
