Organizers of the Burien UFO Festival (BUFO) are inviting artists, crafters and writers with a flair for the otherworldly to take part in this year’s out-of-this-world celebration on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025.

The event — which runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. — will feature a vibrant mix of music, costumes, live art, food trucks, beer gardens, kids’ activities and science-meets-paranormal programming, all centered around themes of Outer Space, UFOs, the Paranormal, and Men in Black lore.

Vendors of handcrafted goods, cosmic crafts, spaceship-themed merchandise, and all things extraterrestrial are encouraged to apply.

BUFO will also feature a dedicated “Author’s Zone” for books, zines and graphic novels, providing writers a chance to share their interstellar storytelling.

Applications and more information are available by emailing hoku.alex@gmail.com.
