Burien Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services (PaRCS) has hired a private company to increase security during summer evening hours (through Sept. 30, 2019) around the Community Center and adjacent Dottie Harper Park, the Community Center Annex and adjacent park grounds, as well as drive-through patrols at Seahurst Park.

Security services will be provided by private firm Homeland Patrol Division.

“There will also be additional patrol services on the July 4th holiday,” the city announced. “This service helps to enhance park users’ experiences at these local sites by deterring unwanted behaviors that can accompany longer daylight hours.”

Josh Stivers, owner of Homeland Patrol Division, and his security team submitted the best competitive price and service for 2019 summer patrol services. They provided services last summer and are very familiar with Burien sites, the city added.

“Homeland Patrol Division offers consistently scheduled officers that are trained, easily identifiable by their uniforms, utilize a marked vehicle and strive to create a friendly rapport between park users and their security staff.”
