Discover Burien (we’re members–join here) has offered to help out at the upcoming Highline Garden Tour, which will take place Saturday, June 11th and guess what? They’re seeking Volunteers!
According to the Highline Historical Society website:

The tour will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 11th, and will be held in beautiful gardens in Normandy Park, SeaTac and Burien.
It’s a self-guided tour through five gardens in Highline and features musicians, artists, raffles for gardening gifts and a plant sale.

Discover Burien is seeking three volunteers for each shift:

  • Morning (9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.)
  • Afternoon (12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
  • Mid Afternoon (3:30 p.m.  – 5:30 p.m.)

“No knowledge of gardening is required,” said Event Manager Debra George. “Just a willingness to be friendly is all that’s needed!”
Volunteers will be asked to attend one of two orientations coming up:

  • Saturday, June 4, 10 a.m.
  • Wednesday, June 8, 7 p.m.

Orientations will be held at the Historical Society’s Collections Facility, which is located at the former Seattle Christian School, 19800 28th Ave South in SeaTac.
