Pooch Playoffs is back for 2025, giving local dog owners a chance to showcase their furry friends while raising money for CARES of Burien and Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary.

The bracket-style competition will kick off Mar. 28, 2025, with dogs facing off “tail to tail” in a March Madness-style contest.

The winner will be crowned on April 4 and will advance to the international round on April 6.

Local pet photography studio Clover Laine Photography is seeking 24 more canine contestants to fill the final spots.

Dog owners can secure a session for a $125 donation, a reduced rate from the usual $285 session fee.

Each participant will receive a swag bag full of goodies, a metal keychain featuring their pet’s portrait, and an opportunity to purchase artwork of their beloved pup.

“It’s a fun way to celebrate our pets while giving back to two incredible animal welfare organizations,” organizers said.

Spots are limited, and interested dog owners can register at cloverlaine.com/pooch.
