A driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI on Sunday morning, June 1, 2025 after crashing into a barrier on State Route 518 near Burien, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).
The single-vehicle collision occurred on SR 518 at around 6:40 a.m., where the driver’s silver sedan came to a stop against the concrete median with visible front-end damage.
No other vehicles were involved, and no injuries were reported.
Blood Alcohol Level More Than Twice Legal Limit
Troopers on scene conducted a breathalyzer test, which showed a blood alcohol concentration (BrAC) of 0.192—more than twice the legal limit of 0.08.
Photos released by WSP at 7:41 a.m. show the damaged vehicle on the shoulder of the highway and the handheld breath test result.
The driver was arrested for suspected DUI.
