Fifth graders at St. Francis of Assisi School in Burien will be holding a Bake Sale and Raffle fundraiser for Burien CARES at the animal shelter this Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020, from 1-4 p.m.
The goal is to raise $500 for the CARES veterinary fund, which helps shelter pets get vaccines, spay/neuter surgeries, and other life saving care they need to be adopted.
Students will be selling individually boxed cupcakes and prepackaged cookies, mini cakes, brownies and other delicious delights, and they will be masked and gloved.
Social distancing will be practiced.
“We plan to have a raffle and are currently seeking items for the raffle from Mud Bay and/or Petsmart.”
