EJ Nist Family Park

From our friends at WABI Burien:

Ready to get some exercise climbing hills in beautiful Normandy Park? Come join the WABI Weekday Walkers on a loop through Normandy Park on Wednesday, Mar 18, starting at 9am. We promise it will be worth the effort!

**Note our return to the earlier walk time!**

We’ll meet by the playground at City Hall Park (along 174th Ave), then walk through the park and up city streets to EJ Nist Family Park. (Uphill first, then down!) The land for this park was donated by EJ Nist on the condition that it be developed as a park. As you’ll see, it’s a beautiful property! Within EJ Nist Park we may follow a wooded trail around the perimeter if it’s not too muddy, then follow streets back to our starting point.

The walk will be approximately 1.75 miles over paved streets, sidewalks, and dirt trails. Consider that the ground may be muddy. Also, there are some hills to negotiate. Estimated time is 60 minutes.

Date: Wednesday, March 18, 2026 (Rain or shine)
Time: Meet a little before 9am so we can begin walking at 9:00
Place: Normandy Park City Hall, 801 SW 174th St, Normandy Park, WA 98166 (map below)
Who: Walkers (and dogs) who are up for some hills
Distance: About 1.75 miles, round trip
